Retail Therapy

Ok so I had these gift cards from Pier 1, but every time I went into the store I wouldn't buy anything at all because I just couldn't decide. I love almost everything in that store, and I just simply cannot afford it all, gift cards or not. One of these gift cards I've had for almost a year. Today, I decided on my way home from work, was the day I was going to spend my gift cards. I was on a mission! After much perusing, I left the store with:

- A magnetic list with pen holder, and 3 pads of paper that say "Week at a glance", "Things to do", and "Just a note" ... super cute! Maybe we'll feel more organized? who knows.

- A pretty agenda/journal thingy... again... maybe I'll feel more organized. At least I'll look cool.

- 2 candle holders with 4 glass votives each for my mantle or anywhere else I feel needs some candle-love

- 2 of the most gorgeous throw pillows ever. So happy. ahh I love these.

- And last but not least, 4 absolutely beautiful martini glasses. I realized we didn't have any (for shame!) and felt this was a necessary purchase. Anyone for hot martinis?

I LOVE martinis! Crantinis? Caramel apple martinis? Bring 'em all on! And those glasses are super hot. Way to go!

Hot martinis are a definite necessity of life! We started out with four such glasses and now are down to two and of course they aren't the pretty ones I like. Every time we move something gets broken but my martini glasses? That's just wrong.

Yours are awesome hot! I'm a cosmopolotin girl myself right now but the caramel apple martinis are a pretty close second.

Just ask anyone who was at Shannon's stagette at Courtney's house and they'll tell you how much I love martini's. I'm glad I'm not pregnant anymore. Now I have to get over nursing. Anyone going to dare me to drink the rest of the champagne for New Years? Just ask 4ever29 about that.

Last year I starting making Coffee martini's. I even made a Gingerbread Latte martini. I feel a girls night coming...

What? Coffee martinis? I loved the Caramel apple martinis from Shannons stagette... mmmm... Did someone say girls night? I'll bring my martini glasses...

Coffee martinis? That sounds awesome!

Sara - if you drink right after you nurse then you have time for it to disperse and not go into the baby. Also everything in moderation. I'm still nursing. I just time it right now (on the very rare occassion I get to indulge). :-)

Michelle - Looking back at my post I think some might think I'm an alcoholic.. I don't want to come across that way at all. I like a glass of wine once in awhile, and while in NYC I had too much while trying all sorts of different things... I just don't want people to think ill of me. My parents abstain for several reasons - one being that my great uncle was a heavy drinker... my grandfather was always embarrassed about it. So now my dad works hard at his reputation and I don't want to wreak that for him... Make sense? I guess that sometimes while blogging I joke a little too much when those who really know me know I'm not like that. Just something I was feeling today.
