My New Ride!

So yesterday evening we decided to go rummaging in other people's garbage... haha ok so not exactly how it sounds, but when it comes right down to it that's really what we were doing... Each year Coquitlam has a "spring cleaning" garbage pick up. This is obviously a big deal there, I realized how big a deal upon the scout. Stop signs were practically plastered in Garage Sale signs. Basically what happens is the garbage pick up will take a dump run's worth of garbage. People put out old couches, tables, etc. You name it, it was probably on the streets of Westwood Plateau last night. Big screen TV (it's the Plateau after all), computers, and enough lawn chairs to host a very comfortable outdoor concert. (an idea Jason and I tossed around after the 20th house with a stack of 5 or so) Anyways, Jason's truck wasn't working very well so we didn't stay long (plus there were a lot of cars coming and going and doing their own scouting.) The only thing we did stop to get was this amazing bike. I'm talking banana seat, high-rise handlebars, chrome back-fender, and kickstand kind of amazing!! It's a bit rusty but otherwise in decent shape. We're going to shine it up and make it pretty and then I'll post a picture. But wow it sure did bring new meaning to "One person's trash is another person's treasure!" Woot woot!
